Pollux is an adult at the time of the book. He's also the only living dionysus kid and we know that nico is close with dionysus, and that he likely would want someone to keep an eye on him when dionysus himself couldn't. he didn't have a name until botl and his brother died. Pollux (aside from being one of my favorite characters) is very underused character. This said that there's a male character that mark felt didnt get enough attention in previous books and he's going to be in the book.

Can we normalize getting rid of “Percy is the perfect man with no character flaws!
